Finishing well: ‘Put up or shut up’ my dad would say to shut down my boasting over what I believed was a winning hand of cards. There was an anticipation over the reveal, a moment spent in knowing you played your hand well, and then the satisfaction as you raked your pennies in. In the funniest of ways God wove His words into the memories of those poker lessons. In Christ, I have the perfect winning hand. I invest the ‘stake’ I’ve been given wisely... careful not to overplay my cards. In the end... I’m betting everything I am on that winning hand. I feel the universe prompting me... put up or shut up, and so I lay my cards down with a smile. I want to finish well. The anticipation is there. That moment in my heart where I know my father and I are one, and then I’m ‘raked in’ finding that the stakes were much bigger than I knew. I want to finish well, to be drawn into a much larger story than I could ever dream and begin bigger. My soul longs for your perfect redemption and it rejoices at what’s to come. It’s time for your people to put up their hands... to finish well. I’m all in 🤗 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4G9P-qWKjvg
