On my runs, I try to incorporate this one hill that goes into this neighborhood because it's a pretty steady incline. By the time I get to the top of it, I'm feeling the burn. Yesterday, when I made the turn to go into this neighborhood and start climbing the hill, something caught my eye. Out of the bushes and right at the entrance came this little black kitten. She was meowing like she was lost and needed help because she was dangerously close to the highway, but was not scared of me at all. I knew she had to be someone's little kitty. She came right up to me and let me scoop her up. I comforted her and snuggled her up right up againts my now sweaty chest. She just purred and purred and never faught to get away or anything. I ran up the hill with her in my arms and already trying to come up with a plan because I did not want to just leave her. I got to the top of the hill and was on my way down when I heard someone behild me..."excuse me, sir. Do you have a black kitten?". It was her owner. The little kitty had been missing for a couple of days. She just needed that little bit of extra help to get her home safely and out of danger. Then, I heard that little small voice speak to me...."when you've done all you know to do...call on Me...I will carry you".
