For those who are carrying on in the most extreme circumstances: Don’t give up! I know it’s hard.... but you really do got this! We choose our hard here at better daily and we are choosing to let our hard mold and shape us into the best version of us we can. We are being carved out! A masterpiece being made by a master craftsman if ya have Christ in your life... and an apprentice if you going rogue and all Lone Ranger like. I am finding that I truly am stronger than I knew was, and tho my body rebels, my mind rejoices. Whether I’m crawling or I’m walking, I am determined to finish well. I see you off in the distance, Father... waiting and watching for me, as the spirit of your son guides me home. I feel your joy as I get it right. You delight in us. I feel it as I pray and it strengthens my heart and reinforces my grit. How pitiful I must’ve looked sitting on the waffle house steps yesterday, dreading that hill as I was melting into the sidewalk. But I serve a God who sees... and cares, and he took pity on me and sent a neighbor to bring me the last 1.5 miles home. The heart is willing but the flesh is definitely weak (esp at 100 degrees lol). I’m not alone in this journey. He’s got me. He is working on my behalf, and the pressure in this life... the pain.. the hardship; they only serve to refine me. Someday all those external pressures will be gone and I will be a shining light, pure as my name says, but a new name and bright robes and a heart that is totally aligned with the Most Holy. That’s when my better meets the best. Til then... I’m placing my steps carefully and trusting that Gods glory is my rear guard and He leads me to a well watered place where I can rest often as He leads me. Keep going! Rejoice in your victories over the flesh! Rejoice in your victories in the spirit! For the things we wrestle with cannot always be seen and our bodies are only temporary. This life is but a stepping stone for something greater, with glimpses of that perfection along the way to give us hope, and propel us forward. I’m all in! I hope you are too ♥️ praying for y’all always. Even the quiet folks 🤗 easier to pray if I know ya tho lol. Hope y’all are well and staying cool if ya in the heat. @patlee.tn hug my boy from me.
