How do you serve in your community? One of the ways we serve is at our local church. We’ve been serving in children’s ministry for 5 years now. I’ve worked with middle school all the way down to infants and it’s been a very important part of God’s growth in me as a man, father, and husband. It’s not always glamorous. I’ve been pooped on, peed on, bit, and slapped by kids who weren’t mine — all while finding a reason to smile about it. But I’ve also gotten to dress up as Jesus and wash feet (very humbling), dance around in worship, and laugh ALOT! This pic is from our biannual, church-wide “life group” launch to give our congregation the opportunity to connect to small groups and serve teams! My wife is the brains and cute behind the operation where we lead a team of 100+ volunteers to minister to 150+ kids each Sunday. Praying for an excellent semester! So much good work to be done!
