Walkin thoughts: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S-2BMyZXK5o As a new Christian, there were things God removed from me immediately, and things He required me to work at to remove. I had to take ownership, so to speak hehe @Coach Alex VanHouten There is this old story about a little girl, and a stringy set of faux pearls she valued above everything, and a father who wanted his little girl to give him those pearls and asked her daily for them. She clung to that necklace until the day she finally looked at her father with love and trust and handed them over. The father then pulls out a genuine pearl necklace, perfect, and beautiful and places it around her neck with love. I wanted you to let go of that which had no value so I could give you something more precious. That’s been a part of my adventures with the Lord. I’ve given up much, but I’ve gained so much more. A little nudge here... a little whisper there.... gently steering me in the way I should go. He is teaching me to master myself, and here lately we are doing it one percent at a time 😉 Music was always a huge thing for me. The creativity, the artistry, the way it moves me, and speaks to me. Early on it was my shoddy set of pearls and I did hand them over to my Father. I needed to in order to grow. Over the years He has introduced me to new music, put a new song in my heart, and I have grown. First in my heart is His living word and the love He has for me, wooing my spirit in the sweetest of ways. I didn’t miss the music because we were creating our own song together and it was good... better than good, it was a treasure beyond imagining. This season of my life He’s reintroduced me to some of my old favorites. He’s even given me some new ones. He’s speaking to me. I’m listening. I’m learning. I’m growing. I’m thinking the next thing I give up will be this life I’m holding onto so dearly. Oh the treasure that awaits me that day but until then He’s still teaching me. What are you wearing on your feet? If you go dancing you put on dancing shoes, if you go running.... well, ya wouldn’t wear heels. As Christians we are to shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace and once you do it changes you. The world will still try to lure, tempt, and pray upon your spirit but once you start wearing ‘those shoes’ you become more intentional about where you place your feet. So many nekkid christians, running around holding their helmet of salvation, and little else. Put on the whole armor of God. We need it, especially in these latter days. Today, the Lord was reminding me that we can walk with confidence together but there were just some things I can’t do while wearing those blessed shoes. He is calling me to better while the enemy, the ‘world’ wants to see me wallow in the cheap and settle for that which has no value. Put on the whole armor... salvation, righteousness over your heart, faith as your shield, loins girded with truth, the sword of the spirit, and those shoes. How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things. Rom 10:15 I’m owning it ♥️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
