There are folks coming back from camping, and folks headed out to camp. Such a great time of year for it. I know the nights are chilly but the air smells so good. The way the leaves fall around you and crunch beneath your feet. Early on a frosty morn… I like to wake and just be for a minute. Breathing deep, and easy… just me and God and a fantastic waterfall of colors. Folks pick on me cuz I’m half blind and refuse to wear my glasses… but when life looks like a monet painting, you just sit back and enjoy it. On a morning like that, the tears fall… of joy, of wonder, of deep sadness for all that we miss, and longing. In that moment my heart is aligned with my Fathers and for a brief moment, I’m home. I really like it best in a boat, on the lake, pole in hand, and a thermos of cocoa beside me. Helps if the fish are biting… and even sweeter when God brings church to you with a baptism on the shore. A bittersweet memory but one I hope to keep. Chuckling as I picture Alex running into the water. Somebody be ready just in case it’s cold enough to require cpr lol but I think we are still ok there. I lived through swimming in Lake Michigan in April and falling into the Muskegon river in March. Thanks @Amber for that one lol. Life is good ♥️ let’s live it abundantly, milking each moment!
