Right now my doctors are looking at possible cervical myelopathy in my neck, a repeat mri is needed to make sure it wasn’t artifact. Yesterday, I saw my cardiologist and he said he thinks that it is likely that the issues in my neck are affecting me in so many ways, such as causing chest pain that feels like a heart attack (because my heart was okay aside from minor PVCs), and that my pain and weakness and other symptoms had him sure there was a neck issue. He said unless the problem started to threaten paralysis there was no intervention bc surgery there is dangerous. (His dad was a neurosurgeon) Which all sucks, but at least my heart is fine and I can keep exercising through that awful pain. The crazy thing is that myelopathy in your neck can cause Neurological symptoms that I’ve been having, like memory loss even. I’m hoping we’re getting closer to answers but this also sort of confuses me, because I’ve had neck problems since undergrad and I wouldn’t have thought it could cause as many issues. As far as I knew my neck has just pulled itself straight bc of weak muscles, and no one ever thought that was “bad” other than painful. Anyway, we’ll see how it all shakes out. Prayers appreciated 🥰
